Can I dwell on what I scarce remember? I held a castle on the Marches once, and there was a woman I was pledged to marry, but I could not find that castle today, nor tell you the color of that woman's hair. Who knighted me, old friend? What were my favorite foods? It all fades. Sometimes I think I was born on the bloody grass in that grove of ash, with the taste of fire in my mouth and a hole in my chest.

Why do some people retain in their memory what others have forgotten or never seen? Which is right: he who can't reconcile himself to leaving the past in obscurity, or he who thrusts into darkness everything that doesn't suit him?
- Brodeck, Phillipe Claudel Went on a short weekend trip to Malacca with Sylvia back in August last year. It was a much needed trip at that point, and I was still reeling from some unhappiness that happened before. Nonetheless, it was a good get away. Film images from the second day, shot on Kodak Gold 200: Fogged up lens, result of stepping out from the cold into the humid inferno hell of the outdoors. Love all these quaint shophouses, though I think the 24mm lens was not the best option (but the only one I had, so... ) Accidental multiple exposure, as usual Intended destination of our early morning - Low Yong Moh - for Dim Sum breakfast. They're pretty much an old school tea house, serving Cantonese dim sum. This isn't a place where your order food off a menu. Servers will tout their dishes on a big metal tray, and you pick the dishes you want off of it. Similar to dim sum trolleys, but in a tray-form I guess. Best dish of the morning was the Lotus Leaf Rice.
